Deep within Earth, in the heart of Asia, in the regions of Iran and Pakistan, nature has spent thousands of years to create one of the most fascinating decorative stones. The striking beauty of onyx became the source of inspiration for the Lumeya collection. For centuries, it has served not only as a building material, but also as a wonderful substance that kept shine and light “imprisoned” in minerals.
The dynamic and energetic pattern is the result of combining onyx and volcanic porphyry, while scrupulously reproducing the natural structure of stone. The beauty of onyx is further underlined by the use of white ink which enhances the contrast and adds depth to the imprint.
With the high-quality and precise digital printing process, it was possible to create exceptional depth and details even in the brightest and most subtle sections of the design.
The precious character of the surface is highlighted thanks to special mechanical processing, adding perfect smoothness, softness and a satin matt finish. Lumeya tiles have the smoothest and most satin finish in the entire Senses collection.
The rocky dark excess found in Lumeya Naturale was so exceptional that it served as an inspiration for a separate tile design. Selected fragments of the imprint were combined into a coherent composition, resulting in a product that complements the Lumeya Naturale collection. A stone with a rich pattern full of detail and subtle nuances. This is how the Lumeya Graphite tile was developed, based on a slate-inspired structure. The relief on the surface brought additional depth to the design, making the whole composition more distinct. All used effects were carefully balanced so that they complement each other and form a harmonious, multi-dimensional imprint. With the special processing of the surface, it was possible to create a pleasant, soft finish in certain sections of the tile. Deeper in the structure, one will find delicate touches, both shining and matt, protruding and concave, while white details introduce additional light reflections. That is why each tile is different. Yet, at the same time, even a random layout will result in a cohesive and elegant surface that will perfectly match various interiors and design compositions.
